Belltec Industries has been experiencing steady growth in their operations and sales over the years. The company designs and manufactures innovative drilling products for industry, utilities, and agriculture.  In 2012, they had a small expansion, and with assistance of the BEDC, the company installed a new sprinkler system, added 4,500 S.F. to the facility, retrofitted their roof, and created three new jobs.

Today, the company is expanding again. They are proposing an investment of $1.5 million for the addition of 14,500 S.F. to their facility, and $1 million for the acquisition of new machinery and equipment to manufacture a greater variety of drilling products for new markets, and the creation of 10 new high skilled jobs. “The new machinery and floor space will open up opportunities to pursue new markets’’ said David Jones. The Belton Economic Development Corporation Board is supporting the company’s expansion with a $200,000 incentive with an incentive agreement approved on April 3, 2016. The incentives will help the company offset new construction costs, training, and job creation. “Belltec is part of our important manufacturing industry cluster in Belton and has been an excellent community partner throughout the years. Our Board is excited and very supportive of their expansion.” said Cynthia Hernandez, BEDC Executive Director.  She added that BEDC’s Business Expansion & Retention efforts lead by Ana Borchardt, have the goal to cultivate relationships with local industries, identify some of their challenges and opportunities, and assist with their growth in Belton. “It has been a pleasure working with David Jones and his team at Belltec,” said Ana.

In addition, the Belton City Council and Bell County Commissioners authorized tax abatement agreements with the company for their new proposed real property investment.
