Competitive Incentives

Competitive incentives are available to businesses locating in downtown Belton, including facade improvement grants, tax abatements, and historical tax credits. BEDC works with your company to procure the incentives you need.

Partnerning with the City of Belton

The City of Belton and the BEDC work together closely to market the community and bring commercial and retail sector projects to fruition. The BEDC’s investment in road infrastructure, such as the extension of Commerce Drive and improvements to East Street in downtown Belton have contributed to business expansions, improvements, and new small businesses.

BEDC funding of utility infrastructure on IH-35 and IH-14 is opening strategic areas for commercial development. In addition, the BEDC and the city of Belton are partnering to conduct a master development plan which will cast a vision supporting the already ongoing redevelopment efforts downtown and in adjacent corridors.
