Located at the crossroads of IH35 and U. S. Highway 190, Belton is within 180 miles of every major market in Texas. It is in the center of a rapidly growing high-tech corridor of Texas between Austin and the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Trans Texas Corridor

In 2005, the Texas Department of Transportation commissioned an independent economic impact study for the development of a Trans Texas Corridor, a 4,000 mile network of highway corridors, rail and utility infrastructure requiring 584 acres of land to allow fast and more modern connection with adjacent states and the border with Mexico. Preliminary study reports show an estimated cost of over $105 billion dollars and 50-year time frame for completion. Air Service

The area has access to air service via three airports:

  2. Austin Bergstrom International Airport is 65 miles south of Belton and is served by major airlines. Air Cargo carriers began flying from the 12,250-foot runway at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on June 30, 1997. Carriers serving the Austin area include:
