Dallas = 135 Miles North Trans Texas Corridor In 2005, the Texas Department of Transportation commissioned an independent economic impact study for the development of a Trans Texas Corridor, a 4,000 mile network of highway corridors, rail and utility infrastructure requiring 584 acres of land to allow fast and more modern connection with adjacent states and the border with Mexico. Preliminary study reports show an estimated cost of over $105 billion dollars and 50-year time frame for completion.
