The Belton Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce the launching of their new website. The new site follows a regional approach as a marketing strategy identified in the recently completed Belton Tomorrow Plan, a strategic plan for the community.
The new BEDC website highlights Belton’s strategic location at the cross roads of IH 35 and U.S. Highway 190 right in the center of the second most vibrant Texas MSA in the country. "We are in the midst of the rapidly growing Temple-Killeen-Ft. Hood MSA and want to capitalize on all the regional assets. Belton offers the best location in the region with a quick access to major roadways connecting the rest of the state and country," stated Tommy Baker, BEDC Executive Director. "In addition, Belton’s beautiful landscape with parks, lakes and trails offer a quality of place."
The new site was designed and developed by EDsuite, professional website development and marketing consultants with expertise in economic development. The site was developed to attract the attention of corporate site selectors and commercial brokers from outside the area. This website will play a very important role in the recruitment efforts for the BEDC. It incorporates a special feature that allows site visitors to display various data elements about local economy, demographics and available building and property sites to create customized reports. Also included is a tool for BEDC staff to produce online password protected proposals for prospects. Social media communication tools like Twitter™, Facebook®, and LinkedIn® are integrated into the site, allowing those connected to receive updates on Belton area business activity and opportunity.
“It has been a pleasure working with the Belton EDC staff on the development of their new website commented Justin Rector, Account Manager for EDsuite. “The new Belton EDC website features our latest EDsuite 2.0 system, and allows visitors to interact with the website through many different avenues. “We look forward to submitting this website for the 2010 IEDC General Purpose Website award.”
