The Temple-Killeen-Ft Hood Metro area continues to grow. For the school year 2008-2009, independent schools districts in this MSA recorded total enrollment for over 57,000 and more than 2,500 high school students graduated in June 2009.

The Belton Economic Development Corporation supported funding for the Bell Area Technical Center Consortium. This center in partnership with area school districts and local colleges offers high quality technical programs to high school students from several school districts in the region.
